Willy Lan is the Founding Partner of Cambium Grove Capital, a Hong Kong based investment firm focused on global venture and growth equity opportunities. Cambium Grove Capital is also a co-sponsor of Newbury Street Acquisition Corp, a SPAC listed on the NASDAQ.

Willy has 21 years of experience in the finance industry, of which 19 years have been on the buy-side investments across the full spectrum of asset classes from venture capital, private equity, special situations to distressed trading. Prior to Cambium, Willy was a Portfolio Manager with Och-Ziff Capital where he oversaw its Asia privates and special situations portfolio. Before Och-Ziff, Willy was a founding member of SC Lowy, a global credit specialist, and he was a founding member of Abax Global Capital where he was the Director responsible for Greater China private equity and structured credit investments. Willy started his buy-side career with Merrill Lynch’s Global Private Equity and also worked at Bear Sterns and a New York based M&A boutique firm.

Willy is also an active angel investor and serves on the advisory board of several companies and accelerators. Willy graduated from Brown University with a B.A. in Business Economics and International Relations.
